Job Summary

The Regional Account Executive will contact businesses with the intent to sell credit and debit card processing services and additional payment processing products and/or services. Responsible to solicit prospective merchant customers (B2B) and establish new business relationships through cold calling and self-sourcing efforts. The role of Regional Account Executive is an entry-level, independent contractor, commission only, remote business opportunity.

Job Functions (Functions performed by this position include, but are not limited to, the list provided below)

Conducting sales calls and presentations via the telephone and in person, generating proposals, completing service contracts, and collecting documents required by underwriting for account approvals.

Solicit merchant services and related ancillary products/services to businesses nationwide.

Function as a consultative salesperson; accurately convey the organization’s products and services to prospective clients as strategic solutions to improve their business operations, help increase sales, and/or decrease the costs associated with their transaction processing.

Perform statement comparisons for current acceptors, analyze interchange qualifications, and demonstrate potential cost savings and/or financial gains through the use of the organization’s products and/or services.

Conduct Internet research and utilize email capabilities to facilitate sales activities and communication with prospects.

Must be able to function from a remote location; responsible to build and manage own pipeline, prospect without assistance, have access to email, internet, cell phone, and reliable personal transportation.

Must be energetic, self-motivated, confident, and resilient

Service oriented; with basic customer service skills

Fundamental sales skills required: negotiation and persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, and networking

Communication, math, and computer skills are essential

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of mathematics in regard to percentage rates, and the application of complex fee structures
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel)

 

Minimum Education and Experience

High School Diploma required, some college preferred. The ideal candidate will have some previous outbound sales experience (cold calling/self sourcing); have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; must be able to influence, motivate, and negotiate with customers and business owners; and must have strong planning and presentation skills; minimum 2 years sales experience; minimum 1 year related work experience. Industry experience preferred but not required.
